Love
Practical Philosophy continues after the Introductory Course – The Wisdom Within, with classes that advance and guide students to open their awareness more fully and connect more deeply within themselves. Each Foundation Course covers a single theme that builds on the material introduced in The Wisdom Within. Foundation courses are offered in no particular order, at different times of the year.
This next foundation course, Love, will be offered starting Tuesday, 21st of May 2024. The course consists of one session per week for 10 weeks, on Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm. Each session lasting 2 1/4 hours with a short break in the middle.
The theme of this course is love. We explore questions such as: What is love? How is it gained and how is it lost? What is love’s effect on actions? Is it universal or limited? Everyone has pure love within their nature. This signifies an absence of selfishness or limit. Despite evidence to the contrary, we all try to express pure love in our daily lives.

We are asked to consider whether everyone has love in their nature. We explore the difference between pure and impure love. Pure love is untainted by selfishness, unrestricted by any sense of limit. Love is conducive to a full, rich and inclusive life; selfishness results in a small and exclusive life.
With pure love there is stillness, the heart is at rest. We explore the need to look beyond appearances to understand the true nature of ourselves and others.
The full price for this 10-week course is $219. Enrol before 6th May 2024 and enter the “Early Bird” code for only $199.
The concession (Healthcare or Pensioner card) price is only $159.

About the course
Love unites and makes whole. In a world where divisions of all kinds prevail – including those within us, a deeper consideration of love is necessary. This course aims to help dissolve feelings of separation and raise awareness of our essential Self through systematic enquiry and practical tools.
Overview
This course, being practical, also considers love and its relationship to the various roles we play in our daily lives, love and work, love and our closest relationships and even love and law. Although it is something we all feel, have you ever stopped to consider what it’s function is? If it is to unify why is there so much division in the world? Can love be increased?
